Jane Iredale – The Skin Care Makeup®

Over the years, my clients always asked if I could recommend a makeup range.

I’d never found a brand that gave truly amazing results, but in 2008 Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics – The Skin Care Makeup® caught my eye.

Jane started out as a casting director, working on television and then film with big names like Susan Sarandon, Glen Close and Sarah Jessica Parker.

During her careers she saw how skin disorders and sensitivities not only threaten careers, but destroy self-confidence – and so created a range that benefits the skin in several ways.

First, it has an abundant range of colours to improve and enhance natural beauty. Its high-quality ingredients give my clients the finest performance in terms of coverage, application and texture.

Second, skin sensitivities are minimised. The products are, for example, free from FD&C dyes, chemical preservatives like parabens, synthetic fragrances, and fillers such as talc. The vitamins and antioxidants are pharmaceutical grade and certified organic where available. As Lisa Clark, a UK-trained nutritionist says: “I would urge everyone to take as much notice of the ingredients in skincare and makeup as they do food labels.”

Third, as well as providing fabulous coverage, it feels very lightweight and silky and can provide up to SP30 protection.

I personally trialled the mineral makeup for six months and was very impressed with the results.

So much so, in fact, that in early 2009 I invested in some expert training – meeting the company and the management team, and discovering how each product works.

Since then, I haven’t looked back. The Jane Iredale range offers so many ways to help my clients round off their styling, allowing their personalities to shine through.

And the great thing is that I not only have products for women, but for men too.
